John Caulcrick's
Patricia
Foundation
An initiative of John Caulcrick
Craft is not just a skill. It is a language. One that, when learned, gives a person the means to create, to earn, and to build something of their own.
The Patricia Foundation was established to put that language in more hands.
Named in honour of a woman whose life was devoted to education, the Foundation exists to empower individuals with the art of tailoring, providing practical, meaningful training that can form the foundation of a livelihood and a creative life.
Through the Foundation, participants are welcomed into the John Caulcrick workshop for hands-on instruction, or sponsored to attend tailoring schools and established workshops where they can develop their craft in a structured environment. Each person who completes the programme receives a John Caulcrick Patricia Foundation certificate; a recognition of their commitment and a credential they carry forward.
The mission is simple: to ensure that the skills behind great clothing are not held by the few, but accessible to anyone with the desire to learn.
We believe in craft as culture. We believe in education as empowerment. And we believe that fashion, at its best, creates opportunity, not just beautiful things.
